Lost in Bass has been tearing up dancefloors since the mid-90s — spinning nothing but raw, heavy pressure across Jungle, Drum and Bass, Jump Up, Neurofunk, Old Skool, and Heavyweight Garage. From clubs to pubs, warehouses to proper free parties, he’s smashed sets across the UK and held it down on underground radio stations — always keeping it real, raw, and strictly unpolished.
A former resident at the legendary Buckle Bunker, Lost in Bass earned a rep for sets that hit hard and never let up. Everywhere he plays, he shuts it down. Dancefloors packed. Roofs blown off. No messing about.
That connection to the music was instant. First time on vinyl decks — nailed it. Perfect. No warm-up, no second try. Just straight-up instinct and natural feel.
Lost in Bass plays it how it’s meant to be — no sync, no software, no shortcuts. Just real decks, real timing, and raw instinct. Every set comes straight from the mind and straight from the heart.
Now in 2025, he’s deep in the studio and the output is on a whole different level. Dark, dirty, and built for the rave, his tunes carry serious weight — and when they drop, they’re insanely heavy — proper rave damage.
Mixing and producing didn’t just come naturally — it’s instinct. It’s in the blood.
And now, he’s stepping up as an organiser — launching his own events. His debut night, Jump Up in the Jungle, lands this September at Lems Studio, bringing together the same raw energy and underground fire that’s defined his sound.
Repping Numero Uno Sounds, Lost in Bass isn’t just part of the underground — he is the underground.
Dan D aka Certified Dan – DJ | Producer | Label Boss | Rave Veteran
Certified Dan’s journey began in the early ’90s — not behind the decks, but on the dancefloor. A true raver at heart, he was captivated by the raw energy and unity of the scene. It wasn’t long before his passion evolved, and he stepped up as a DJ, spinning at underground illegal raves and pirate radio stations across Essex and beyond.
His first big club breakthrough came at the legendary Battle of the DJs for Area 51 Records in Braintree. From there, Dan carved his own lane — launching Double D and Double Trouble events in Bury St Edmunds and Southend, pushing the sound he loved to new heights. He soon became a resident DJ for the mighty Interface Derby, repping hard for Drumsound & Bassline Smith, and smashing sets at major events across the UK including Slammin’ Vinyl pleasuredome and many more.
Radio has always been in his blood. Starting on Lush and Mystery FM back in the day, he’s since played on countless stations nationwide — from Obsession to Divine to Global DnB. He even ran his own station, Fenz FM, broadcasting the freshest beats out of Cambridgeshire.
Today, Dan D is the driving force behind Numero Uno Sounds — his own record label with global releases and a mission to push DnB, Jungle, and Old Skool sounds forward. Whether it’s producing original tracks, running events, or tearing up the decks, Dan D is built for this.
🔥 Jungle is in his DNA. The rave runs through his veins. Certified by name, fire by nature.
